BlackBerry KEY2 specifications and price details have emerged online ahead of its formal debut that is scheduled in New York City for Wednesday, June 7. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset, with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
TCL will unveil its new BlackBerry KEY2 flagship smartphone in NY today in another attempt to return the past glories to the legendary Canadian brand, BlackBerry, the flagship of the mobile industry a decade ago, especially in the business market. Although there does not seem to be many changes in terms of design, the smartphone still shows significant innovations, such as the presence of the fingerprint sensor. The dual rear cameras here are rated at 12MP and 8MP while the front facing camera features an 8MP shooter. The Canadian tech firm has already teased a few features and design aspects of its "icon reborn" via YouTube on May 24, however not almost as much as what can be seen in the latest leak. The company is bullish over the improvements carried with regards to the QWERTY keyboard. Previous leaks also suggested that the upcoming smartphone will sport a power button on right side of the phone along with the volume. The KEY2 will also feature a dedicated keyboard button which we're eager to try how it works. In all likelihood, the unmarked button is customizable and can be assigned to features like camera.
And it looks like TCL will equip the Key2 with a dual camera, although the specifics of the setup have not yet been revealed.
