Muhannad, a member of the White Helmets in southwestern Syria who was unable to reach Quneitra as part of the evacuation, told The National that around 260 civil defence workers left in the evacuation, alongside relatives that brought the number to around 500 in total.
Members of the "White Helmets" civil defence group were among those removed from the country.
The White Helmets said 98 male and female volunteers and 324 family members were now in Jordan, having travelled through the occupied Golan Heights.
The White Helmets rescue group operates mainly in opposition held parts of Syria and acts like an informal emergency services in areas devastated by war.
"The government gave the permission after Britain, Germany and Canada made a legally binding undertaking to resettle them within a specified period of time due to "a risk to their lives", it said in an English-language statement.
The official statement from the French Foreign Ministry on the rescue of Syrian "White Helmets" did not mention the word "Israel" even once.

Canada will resettle up to 50 White Helmets and their families, a Canadian official with direct knowledge of the resettlement efforts told CNN.
It was unclear how many White Helmet volunteers remained in both the Daraa and Quneitra provinces after the evacuations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed Sunday that Trudeau and U.S. President Donald Trump were among those who asked Israel to rescue the White Helmets in recent days, after leaders first talked about helping the White Helmets during the recent North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels.
"When children, women, and men in Syria flee for their lives, the White Helmets run towards danger, towards the rubble, to save the innocent and the wounded".
On Saturday, Canada said it was working with the United Kingdom and Germany to "ensure the safety of the White Helmets and their families".
"They were trapped in a risky area", he added. Many have amassed near sealed borders with Israel and Jordan, and are surviving high desert temperatures with little more than a tent or informal shelter for protection.
As Damascus and its allies pursue victory, there appears little chance of the kind of negotiated peace Assad's adversaries say is needed to stabilize the country and encourage millions of refugees to return. Jordan hosts at least 650,000 registered Syrian refugees, according to the United Nations, but Amman says a similar number of undocumented Syrians are also in the kingdom.
Also Monday, Israel said it fired a pair of missiles to intercept two missiles fired from Syria in Israel's direction.
