Surveillance and cellphone footage from the Friday incident shows two workers whacking customers with broomsticks, with one patron staggering toward the door as a worker rains blows on her back.
She also expressed her anger that the salon staff were "hitting [the women] like animals".
The brawl happened at New Red Apple Nail at 1426 Nostrand Ave.in East Flatbush after a customer refused to pay either part of or all of her bill following an apparently botched eyebrow treatment. Nail salon worker Li Lin claims that Thomas punched and slapped her in the face, and dragged her on the floor, causing lacerations to the face and substantial neck pain. Huiyue Zheng, 32, was charged with assault and weapon possession, the Post reports. She was also released on her own recognizance.
Following the incident, residents have protested the salon and have called for its closing.
In video posted online, you can see employees using broomsticks to beat a woman and chase her out of the store.

Protesters tried to shut down a Brooklyn nail salon Monday after its employees were caught on camera beating a customer.
"You couldn't pay me to come back here", said resident Crystal Harper.
"I'm not trying to die on my bday or go to jail", she wrote. Customer Christina Thomas was charged with misdemeanor assault and also released on her own recognizance.
The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office says prosecutors are examining more evidence and may alter the charges.
There is a man holding one of the women as the workers attack at the New Red Apple Nails on Norstrand Avenue in East Flatbush. Police escorted workers out of the establishment for their safety, the Post reports.
