Deputies canvassed the neighbourhood about 50 miles north of Houston after the woman rang a resident's doorbell at 3:20am on Aug 24 and walked away, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said. Her boyfriend, identified a 49-year-old man, was found dead inside a home in the same Montgomery County subdivision where the woman was ringing doorbells.
The police are not identifying the woman as she is a family violence victim.
The woman was partially dressed and had what appeared to be broken restraints on both wrists. She also said no one in their family knows who the man is.
The woman was captured on the surveillance camera of the house she rang in the Sunrise Ranch area of Montgomery, Texas. But on Wednesday morning, deputies were dispatched to a nearby home after a man called threatening to commit suicide.
An investigation is now underway at the home in the 18400 block of Sunrise Pines where the 49-year-old man was found deceased.
Police took in tips from across the country about the identity of the woman.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating the suspicious incident that occurred in Montgomery, Texas. He then saw the images when he checked his doorbell security camera.
