If you remember back in June, Roseanne Barr was sacked from her hit show Roseanne just hours after she posted a tweet about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, comparing her to the "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes".
ABC canceled its "Roseanne" reboot after Barr tweeted about Valerie Jarrett, Chelsea Clinton, and George Soros. "There's nothing I can do about it", Barr said.
"They had her die of an opium-or a opioid overdose", Barr told YouTuber Brandon Straka about 40 minutes into the interview.
Florence makes landfall in N. Carolina
In the days leading up to the arrival of Hurricane Florence, North Carolina's governor offered a series of dire warnings. A woman named Bree tweeted: "If anybody could help. our cars is under water and so is our house stuck in attic".
"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have chose to cancel her show", Dungey said in a statement. "(But it) so cruelly insults the people who loved that family in that show". That's in stark contrast to what she tweeted in May. Straka said during his show "Walk Away". Or every black parent I know who has a boy who has to sit down and have a conversation, "the talk" as we call it. "No", she said. "I've never done anything racist in my life".
On getting fired from the show: "It physically defeated me, and I was just leveled".
Oz pointed out that during the heat surrounding Barr and her controversial comments in May, the comedian blamed the sleeping drug Ambien for her offensive words. "Don't think I don't have spies".
The Conners premieres Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 8/7c on ABC.
