Mrs Trump's visit to Kenya follows a discussion she held with Mrs Kenyatta at the White House in Washington, DC in August this year when the Kenyan First Lady accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta on his visit.
Soon after touch down at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), Mrs Trump visited one of the primary schools, Chipala at Area 25, then she drove straight to State house-Kamuzu Palace.
She is on her first solo tour of Africa.
Flying from Ghana, Trump arrived at Kamuzu International Airport on October 4 where she was greeted by Gertrude Maseko, the first lady of Malawi, in a ceremony that featured drummers, dancers, and students waving the flags of both countries.
The visit has attempted to promote the world of the US Agency for International Development.
But a few signs of protest were afoot, too, as President Trump is not widely seen as a friend of Africa.
"I am very proud to see the first lady", high school student Sharon Sibo told AFP after being among a group of welcoming pupils at the airport.
As Kenya prepares to receive the US First Lady on Thursday, October 4, Trump noted it was attractive to watch her while in Africa.
Trump also took a brief safari as she learned more about steps the East African nation is taking to conserve wildlife.
