Arsene Wenger has promised he will be back in football management at the start of 2019, but the Frenchman does not yet know at which club.
Real Madrid are now seeking a new boss and Wenger is one of most fancied names, according to bookmakers.
Speaking to TalkSport at the launch of former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein's "Twinning Project" initiative at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, Wenger said: "Look, I am not the Real Madrid manager, I am here today to support David Dein".
He said: "When Arsenal win I am happy".
"I have had a good rest and watched football a lot".
"Liverpool have a history of winning trophies and they're one of the most successful sides in Europe".

The official said that during an interview with agents, Sayoc denied playing any role in the bombing campaign. He had previously worked as a male dancer for several years and more recently as a pizza driver.
"Back then, I could never have imagined I'd be here one day, but it was always a dream of mine and you have to try and follow them. But I think that doing our work, we deserved this victory also".

The Gunners welcome Liverpool to the Emirates on Saturday having won 12 of their last 13 games in all competitions.
The Gunners have not tasted defeat for twelve matches, after losing their first two competitive games under new boss Unai Emery.
"But overall the quality's there".
"We are looking for the confidence in each goalkeeper".
Wenger added he will "certainly not" manage in England again out of respect for Arsenal.
