After the protest of ADMK cadres, team Sarkar has agreed to remove the controversial scene in the film.
The "superstar" who also came out in support for the film had condemned the government. Yesterday, ADMK loyalists vandalized the premises of few theaters screening Sarkar in the state and after the incident, night shows were canceled. AR Murugadoss moved the Madras High Court on Friday which has given him protection from arrest till November 27.
"While we don't know how many scenes have been deleted, we can say for sure that the objectionable scene on mixer and grinder being burnt has been removed", they said. So the issue has come to an end. Also a woman character's name, apparently referring to the late AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa, was muted after backlash from the ruling party workers.
"The protests (against the film) will not continue", he told reporters here.

The AIADMK ministers demanded deletion of the contentious scenes, besides threatening to initiate legal action if the film crew failed to comply. The ruling AIADMK party has opposed some of the scenes in the film and filed a complaint in the Madras High Court. Now, as the makers of the film Sun Pictures Tweeted, police have been at the director's home to arrest him.
