Collider reports that the first trailer from Spider-Man: Far From Home will be shown at the Sony panel at Comic-Con Experience in San Paulo, Brazil this Saturday before being turned loose online. To seal the deal, the post includes the caption "I just realized I'm not playing Spider-Man".
Gyllenhaal has joined Instagram, and his first post is very much a tease over his role in Far From Home. And, with the current rumour-mill suggesting we'll get a Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer at the weekend, we'll bet good money we'll get to see the character in action (why else do the Jake reveal this week?) when it lands.
If you're unfamiliar with Mysterio, the character was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #13 back in 1964.
The pics offer a look at the new red and black Spider-Man suit as well as what is being called the Stealth suit.
Prince Charles will attend George H.W. Bush’s funeral
A long list of prominent current and former officials gathered inside the rotunda to pay their respects. Bush . "President Bush is the first president I ever voted for", said Carrie Hutchman of Mariana, Ohio.
Gyllenhaal was most recently seen onscreen in Jacques Audiard film The Sisters Brothers and in Paul Dano's Wildlife.
He will be joining Tom Holland, who is reprising his role as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, as well as cast members including Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Marisa Tomei, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton.
In the comics, Mysterio is Quentin Beck, a special effects technician who uses his tech wizardry to become a master criminal, leading to him butting heads - or his fish-bowl helmet - with Spidey.
