Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports the team will make one of Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio or Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Mike Munchak its new head coach. The fans calling for Joseph's firing began voicing their complaints early on this season and continued speaking up until general manager John Elway gave Joseph the boot following the team's final game of the season.
The 2018 season was his best as Fangio guided a Bears defense that ranked No. 1 in the NFL, allowed a league-low 17.7 points per game and led the Bears into the playoffs for the first time in eight years. And the two who did not - Josh McDaniels and Vance Joseph - were fired in two or fewer seasons, combining for three years of at least 10 losses of the four on the job. He took over a Chicago defense that was 31st in points allowed in 2014, the year before his arrival, and in three years turned the Bears into the ninth-best scoring defense in the league. "If he wants to be a head coach one day, I want him to take a job and be a head coach".
It's down to two for the Denver Broncos.
Fangio is a first-time head coach at age 60.
‘I may declare a national emergency’ to build wall
Gutfeld said that Trump should discuss the "crux" of Democrats' arguments against a border wall, that one would be " immoral ". The president has described the situation on the U.S. -Mexico border as both a humanitarian and national security crisis .
Defensive lineman Akiem Hicks echoed those thoughts. "Again, I hope that we can hire a guy that can be here for the next 10 years, 15 years".
When word got out that Elway had chosen Fangio, Bears cornerback Prince Amukamar a tweeted the hashtag "curse words" and Chicago wide receiver Allen Robinson II tweeted the broken heart emoji. With the Bears since 2015, Fangio also held the same role with San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers.
Despite the experience and accolades, Fangio had hardly been considered as a head coach prior to January.
The easy answer to the latter is in the person of secondary coach Ed Donatell, who has been defensive coordinator for Atlanta, Green Bay and Washington.
