As the National Park Service announced Sunday that it would start using money from park entrance fees to cover costs during the shutdown, some Democrats said that was not allowed under federal law.
Gutfeld said that Trump should discuss the "crux" of Democrats' arguments against a border wall, that one would be "immoral".

Democrats returned to Washington in the new year, taking control of the US House of Representatives, and passed legislation to reopen all closed government agencies but did not include wall funding.

This still leaves open the possibility of a Democrat-backed legal challenge, most likely before a federal judge in California, along the same lines as lawsuits seeking to block Trump's travel ban and changes to DACA and asylum policy.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders sat down with Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace on Sunday, and she made the White House's case that Democrats, not President Trump, were the intransigent party in the negotiations to end the government shutdown. Returning to the White House, he said: "They will make an adjustment because they want to see the border taken care of".
